NYC Haiku #41-50

 41.

Construction cranes dance
against clouds like paper cranes—
progress, brick by brick

42.
A poet's whisper
beneath St. Mark’s gaslight flame—
ink becomes legend

43.
Taxi light is out—
a man waves anyway still—
hope in yellow streaks

44.
Uptown gospel swells
through church steps cracked and holy—
rhythm shakes the bricks

45.
Crosswalk countdown blinks—
but the tourists still shuffle—
city knows the pace

46.
Koreatown glow
of fried wings and K-pop beats—
midnight finds its joy

47.
The Met’s marble halls
echo with ancient silence—
a world within stone

48.
Snow globe skyline view—
through the ferry’s frosted glass
Liberty glimmers

49.
Late bar on Bleecker
melancholy in a glass—
jazz and gin collide

50.
Morning in the Bronx—
bus stop prayers and coffee steam—
another day climbs
